Project Overview
OneHub is a custom-built backend platform that serves as the core CMS and API layer for the 1Finance ecosystem. It manages financial content, platform logic, and data delivery for multiple consumer-facing applications. Designed for scalability and performance, OneHub provides a centralized backend foundation supporting calculators, scoring systems, and financial planning features.
Problem & Goal
1Finance needed a centralized backend platform to power multiple frontend applications with consistent data, financial calculations, and content management capabilities. The challenge was building a system that could scale across different use cases while maintaining performance and reliability.
Architectural Approach
Designed a microservices-based backend using Golang and GoFiber for high performance and low latency. Implemented PostgreSQL for relational data modeling with optimized queries. Used Docker for containerization to ensure consistency across development and production environments. Built REST APIs following OpenAPI specifications for clear documentation and frontend consumption.
Frontend Implementation
Developed admin interfaces using Next.js for content management and system configuration. Created dashboard components for monitoring API usage, system health, and analytics. Implemented responsive layouts with real-time data updates and intuitive navigation for non-technical users.
Backend Implementation
Built core API endpoints for financial calculators including loan EMI, investment returns, and insurance premium calculations. Implemented scoring algorithms for ranking financial products based on multiple weighted factors. Developed data models for financial products, user profiles, and content entities. Created authentication and authorization layers with JWT tokens, rate limiting middleware, and Redis-based caching for frequently accessed data.
Outcome & Impact
Successfully deployed a scalable backend platform serving multiple production frontends with 99.9% uptime. Reduced API response times by 40% through optimized queries and caching strategies. Enabled rapid feature deployment across the ecosystem with clean API contracts. The platform now powers financial planning tools used by thousands of users daily.
