1Finance is a finance-focused company website and digital platform designed to help users make informed financial decisions. The platform offers financial calculators, scoring and ranking of financial products, and personalized financial planning powered by MoneySign, a system that represents user financial behavior.
Problem & Goal
1Finance required a public-facing website that could deliver complex financial planning tools while maintaining content flexibility and personalization capabilities. The platform needed to provide accurate financial calculations, product comparisons, and personalized recommendations based on user behavior and preferences.
Architectural Approach
Built on WordPress with custom PHP plugins for core business logic and Node.js microservices for computationally intensive operations. Integrated MoneySign personalization engine that analyzes user financial behavior patterns. Implemented REST APIs for communication between WordPress, Node.js services, and the OneHub backend. Used Docker for local development and deployment consistency.
Frontend Implementation
Developed a custom WordPress theme with financial calculator interfaces including loan calculators, investment planners, and insurance estimators. Created product comparison tools with side-by-side feature analysis and scoring displays. Implemented personalized recommendation flows that adapt based on MoneySign analysis. Optimized for SEO with structured data, meta tags, and performance best practices including lazy loading and image optimization.
Backend Implementation
